چکیده

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is known to cause oxidative stress and DNA damage the skin, leads premature aging. Recently, anti-aging molecules have been attracting unprecedented attention where natural ingredients present in nutraceuticals become latest trend. In this study, Abelmoschus Esculentus (i.e., okra, lady fingers) seeds (OS) were extracted using a pressurized hot water “green” method. OS extracts shown contain polyphenolic compounds exert potent anti-oxidant activityin vitro. We further examined their potential effects both 2D culture of human primary keratinocytes (HPKs) 3D organotypic skin models exposed UV. The analyzed at mRNA protein levels for differentiation senescence biomarkers, inflammation biomarkers. Clonogenicity assays also conducted evaluate HPK stemness after treatment. Our data showed that 0.01 mg/mL exerted an effect preventing UV-induced late inflammation. addition, clonogenicity limited loss proliferative capacities HPKs UV exposure, suggesting enhanced maintenance stemness. Consistently, our 0.05 prevented upper epidermal layers occurring exposure. Lastly, induced by was as evidenced Lamin B1 suprabasal layers, while exposure its loss. conclusion, demonstrated significant photoaging homeostasis skin.

Biomarine extracts significantly protect from ultraviolet A-induced skin photoaging: an ex vivo study.

We tested the activity of the marine nutraceutical CL-1222 added with a coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)-lutein-selenium component (Celergen(®), Laboratoires-Dom, Switzerland) to protect human fibroblasts against ultraviolet A (UVA)-induced photoaging. Cells obtained from 22- to 39-year-old healthy donors were pretreated with CL-1222 before UV irradiation, as compared with same quantity of the CoQ10-lutein...

Effect of Microalgal Extracts of Tetraselmis suecica against UVB-Induced Photoaging in Human Skin Fibroblasts

Exposure of cells to ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation can induce production of free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS), which damage cellular components. In addition, these agents can stimulate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) and decrease collagen synthesis in human skin cells. In this study, we examined the anti-photoaging effects of extracts of Tetraselmis suecica (W-TS)...

Involvement of TGF-beta in Skin Photoaging

The goal of this thesis study was to understand the role of TGF-3 in skin photoaging, especially in solar elastosis. Solar elastosis, the accumulation of elastotic material in the dermal extracellluar matrix, is a major hallmark of photoaging. However, the mechanisms by which UV radiation causes solar elastosis are poorly understood. TGF-3 is a multifunctional cytokine involved in the regulatio...

Protective effect of the standardized green tea seed extract on UVB-induced skin photoaging in hairless mice

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Ultraviolet B (UVB) irradiation on skin can induce production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which cause expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and collagen degradation. Thus, chronic exposure of skin to UVB irradiation leads to histological changes consistent with aging, such as wrinkling, abnormal pigmentation, and loss of elasticity. We investigated the prote...
